Denver Academy of Torah sponsors Torah shiur
Ruchama Alter, well known lecturer and tour guide, will be spending a week in Denver. She has agreed to take time from her grandchildren (and children) and teach a class on Monday night, October 30. Those of us who spent time with her in Israel, know what an amazing teacher she is. She plans to speak about the creation of Chava. Her class will trace two diverging views of the creation story, through the Chumash, the Talmud and Medieval commentors. She plans to show how one's world view of the role of women is shaped depending on which view is adopted. The cost of the class will be $10, and she is donating this money to Chattan v'Kallah charity in Israel.
