Rabbi Joshua Hess - Assistant Rabbi of the DAT Minyan

Dear Friends

It is with great pleasure and thanks to Hashem that I announce the hiring of Rabbi Joshua Hess as Assistant Rabbi of the DAT Minyan.  In addition to his rabbinic responsibilities, Rabbi Hess has been hired as a part-time teacher at DAT.

Rabbi Hess was selected based on receiving your overwhelming support in our most recent membership meeting and with the endorsement of our Board of Directors and Rabbinic Search committee.  On behalf of the entire congregation, I extend the Rabbinic Search committee our appreciation and thanks.

Rabbi Hess is married to Naava and has two young children and another, IY”H, due within the next few weeks.   They currently reside in Baltimore, as Rabbi Hess has been studying for the past four years as a member of the Kollel of Ner Israel Rabbinical College.  For the past two years, he has also been teaching at Yeshivas Lev Shlomo.  Rabbi Hess, a native of Los Angeles, received his rabbinic ordination from Ner Israel, and has spent several years learning at Ohr Yerushalayim and Yeshiva University as well.  He has served as a rabbinic intern at Beth Jacob of Irvine, CA and Ahavas Yisroel of SE Denver and comes to us via the Yeshiva University / RIETS Rabbinic Placement Office.

I am excited to report that Rabbi Hess is planning to arrive in Denver in several weeks to begin serving as our Assistant Rabbi.  I am optimistic that under the guidance and leadership of Rabbi Alter and Rabbi Hess that the DAT Minyan will continue to thrive and continue to positively impact on the whole Denver Jewish Community.

Please join me in welcoming Rabbi Joshua and Naava Hess and family as we embark on this exciting chapter together.

Sincerely,

Graeme Bean
President
