AJF: High Holiday Services Launch in Lowry

Posted to jewishcolorado.org:

High Holiday services will be available for the first time in Lowry at the Denver Academy of Torah (“DAT”) Campus.

Answering the need for a modern orthodox spiritual center that offers a variety of facilities and services for families, the Lowry Minyan at DAT is gaining momentum and preparing for High Holiday davening and enrichment programming.

“We’re striving to provide inspirational services that enhance and deepen the High Holiday experience,” says Scott Friedman, president of the Lowry Minyan at DAT. “The Lowry Minyan at DAT has grown over 300% in the past three years. We’re building on the warm and friendly culture inherent in our Shabbat Minyan, and expanding it to offer a unique, welcoming, spiritual environment for the High Holidays.”

Adult Enrichment Programming will be available to enhance the High Holiday experience. Led by Rabbi H. Cohen, principal of DAT, and coordinated by Ellyn Hutt, various speakers will be scheduled, providing inspiration and insight into Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Children’s programming and professional babysitting will also be available. “We want every member of the community who is seeking a meaningful High Holiday experience, to find what they are looking for here,” says Friedman. “On a practical level, knowing that your children are being well taken care of allows parents to fully participate in services and enrichment programming.”

Seats for the High Holidays are available, and reservations are highly recommended. Reservations: Aryeh Fischer at fischera@njc.org or (303) 667-6597.

The Lowry Minyan at DAT is a modern orthodox synagogue that strives to offer a welcoming, warm, and spiritual environment to families and individuals within the Denver Jewish community.
