Letter from Rabbi Hess

Dear Friends,

As I have almost completed my first week in the DAT community, I now realize how truly honored I am to be here. Everyone that I have met and interacted with has been so kind and sweet. I can really sense the excitement and enthusiasm around the DAT Minyan. It seems that everyone wants our shul to grow, and is ready to chip in wherever necessary to facilitate this goal. I am also tremendously excited about our shul’s future and the opportunity for us to make an impact on our community as a whole. It is a privilege for me to work very closely with Rabbi Alter. We speak on a daily basis, and we are already planning to create exciting, fun, and growth oriented opportunities for the shul and community.

For those who do not know, my Eishes Chayil, Naava and my 2 beautiful boys, Dani and Akiva, will not be joining us immediately. We are expecting another child G-d willing in a few weeks, and my family will remain in Baltimore until that time. They plan to follow me to Denver very soon.

I am really looking forward to this opportunity, and to meeting everyone from the shul and the entire DAT community. I have already sat down with couples to discuss their feelings about the shul, what needs to get done, and how to go about accomplishing those goals. I hope to meet with the entire membership over the next few weeks. If we have not formally met, please come over and introduce yourself. I would very much like to meet you and get your input ion the direction of the shul! These are very exciting times for the Denver Jewish Community, and I am honored to be part of the team.

Hope to see you soon,

Joshua Hess
