Children Supervision Policy

Over the last few weeks we have seen an increase in noise levels in the hallways of the building. There have also been many incidents of small children roaming the halls unsupervised, playing in the building unsupervised, and playing outside unsupervised. There have been children riding their scooters through the halls and throwing and dropping balls from the foyer to the hallway outside the library and back. In addition, when we try to run the youth program on Shabbat morning, it is very difficult to get and keep the children's attention when they know (and see) their friends in the hallways and playing outside.

We have been very lucky that no major accident has occurred. We are a Shul with a commitment to our future and our youth; we need to provide a structured and safe yet exciting and fun environment for our youth. There is a program in place for Shabbat mornings. Please encourage your kids to attend these programs or sit with you in Shul. The board is in the process of developing additional programs as well as a children’s policy for the safety of our kids. This policy will enable us to keep the Davening quiet and spiritual. If you have any suggestions please give them to a board member.

When children are not participating in programs – they are your responsibility. Please look after your kids!
