  • The Tuesday night Beit Medrash program will be getting a lift from four new members of the Yeshiva Toras Chaim Kollel. They will be available to learn one-on-one. If you are interested, please contact Rabbi Leban or Rabbi Ahron Wasserman.

Women's Shabbat Mevarchim Program

The first women's Shabbat Mevarchim shalosh seudot program will be held on October 21 at 4:30 at the home of Rivka Alter at 424 S. Niagara St.  Essi Fleishman, an IJN columnist, will be the guest speaker.

Adult Enrichment Program Begins

Just as eating sustains the physical body, Torah learning sustains the Jewish neshama. We have been enjoying regular cholent kiddushes for some time. Now it's time to feed our souls. As announced during the Yamim Noraim, the DAT Minyan is kicking off an Adult Enrichment Program. Classes and various learning options are available most days of the week, led by Rabbi Hess, Rabbi Amsel of the Denver Kollel, Madeline Levine w/ The Jewish Experience, and others in the community.

Hoshana Rabba Learning

There is a custom to stay up and learn Torah the night of Hoshana Rabba.  This year, Rabbi Uriel Malka, a Rebbe at DAT, will be running a learning program in the DAT sukka for children and their parents on Thursday night October 12th.  Children in grades 3-5 will be learning from six to seven o’clock.  Grades 6 through 8 will be learning from seven to eight o’clock.  All children and their parents in the community are invited.

Daily Learning Opportunities Begin

Now that Rabbi Hess has arrived, daily & weekly DAT Minyan learning opportunities will soon be available. In fact, his first class is starting right away. We will be learning the laws of Rosh Hashana from the Mishna Brura every weekday morning at 6:15 am, before davening, beginning Wednesday, August 30th. Since we don't yet have a seforim library, whoever has a copy of the Mishna Brura, please bring the last volume (#6). Copies will be available for those who don't have their own. This class will continue on Shabbos mornings at 8:00 am and Sunday mornings at 7:30.

Additionally, at 8:30 am on Shabbos mornings, Rabbi Hess will be giving a short 15 minute shiur on the Sanctity of Shabbos. He will also be giving a regular shiur every Shabbos afternoon, 45 minutes before Mincha.

First Annual Purim Seudah a Success

Thank you and yasher koach to Devorah & Scott Friedman for organizing our shul's first annual Purim seudah and making it such a success. Additional thank-yous go to Corina Zazulia and Rachel Rabinovitch for making the soup (no, that didn't come from Zaler's!), and Wendy Slamowitz and Shelly Ciner and everyone else who stepped up to help.

If anyone would like to submit feedback for next year, please contact Graeme Bean.
