Our shul prides itself on numerous Torah learning opportunities throughout the week for individuals of all backgrounds.  Please join us at any of the following classes and shiurim and check our weekly newsletter or online calendar for current information.  Check out our MP3 library for additional audio shiurim. 

Classes with Rabbi Joseph Friedman

  • Daf yomi - daily, following Shacharit Sunday through Friday , and 8:25 am on Shabbat
  • Mishnayot - Daily, between Mincha and Maariv
  • Wednesday mornings - "Short & Sweet Talmud Class", 9:20 am for 30 minutes at DAT Office at BMH-BJ.  Men only. 
  • Wednesday evenings - topical series for learners of all backgrounds. 7:30pm or after Maariv in summer months. 
  • Shabbat afternoons - 1 hour before mincha, for learners of all backgrounds 
  • Sunday mornings, 10am - Halacha chabura for middle to advanced learners.  Source-based exploration of halachic topics examing gemara, rishonim, acharonim, shulchan aruch in original Hebrew.
  • Legal holidays, 9am following Shacharit - featured classes on timely topics

SHAWL - Shabbat Afternoon Women's Learning

  • DAT Minyan women are known for their love of learning Torah.  Shiurim are 2 hours before mincha and feature different teachers each week.  Special programming arranged throughout the year with visiting Scholars In Residence or multi-week series consist of 2-6 classes on a specific topic.  Women are invited to teach and participate.
